MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital’s Books on Wheels

MultiCare Volunteer Services is raising
funds to bring books to South Sound patients during their hospital stay.

MultiCare Volunteer Services is excited to announce our new book cart program, Books on Wheels.

Through this program, MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital patients will receive a brand-new book or activity book during their hospital stay to improve their experience and decrease potential isolation. Books are given to patients by a team of dedicated volunteers who ensure every individual leaves the hospital with a new favorite in hand.

Because of the generosity of Tacoma-based bookstore, King’s Books, and MultiCare Health Foundation donors, patients in the medical oncology department will receive brand new books, activity books, colored pencils and more beginning in August 2022. Since Books on Wheels is a brand-new program, we need your support so that we can serve even more patients in our community.

Your donation will help purchase books that will spread hope and healing throughout the hospital.
