Story
Done it. 10 May to 9 June. 125 k on the ergo plus >2k on the water = 150 k
From 10th May to his 84th birthday on 18th June, and for the third year running (or rather sitting down), Bob Eaton of the Rotary Club of Bewdley (pictured in his Stourport Boat Club gear) intends to row , either on the water or an Ergo, at least 100,000ms hopefully 150,000ms, dependent on physical and marital constraints, for PfHU
Planting for Hope Uganda was established by Kate Oakley, from absolutely nothing in an area of desperate poverty. She continues to run it from her home in Worcestershire, with the superb Apollo Saku running things in Uganda. Despite beginning from nothing, PFHU now comprises a successful school scheme, dormitories, food and education for impoverished children, a Women’s Cooperative, Health Care and Clinic, Farming, Animal Husbandry, Outreach feeding programmes, and more besides; which between them have transformed the area.
The latest completed project was to build a dormitory for 60 young orphaned girls, to provide protection, food, and education.
Bob would like to thank Stourport Boat Club for the loan of the Ergo. I joined in 1955 ( Slow Learner 🤪)
Please support Kate, Apollo, and Planting for Hope Uganda.
NOTE . SUBSEQUENT MY LACK I.T. SKILLS, £1743 IS WRONGLY SHOWN AT THE START OF THIS ROW. ALL PAID LAST YEAR. ONLY SUMS FROM MAY ‘22 WILL BE ATTRIBUTED TO THIS YEAR.
