As many of you may know, on 26 August 2015, we tragically and unexpectedly, lost our colleague and Partner of the firm, Nick Wilford.

Nick was a cornerstone of the Commercial Property team at Blacks; admired and respected by the Yorkshire property and legal professions alike. Not only as a capable, intelligent and gifted solicitor, but also, for being with it, fair, humble and kind. Nick was the very definition of a gentleman and is sorely missed by us all.

Nick's hobbies included gardening, cycling, skiing and golf. Yet, despite being active, eating well and enjoying good general health, Nick sadly died from a heart condition that he never knew he had.

Every 3 seconds someone in the UK is struck with a heart attack. Around a third are fatal. British Heart Foundation spends 78p out of every £1 donated to life saving research and support.
