Story
At Bilton School we not only care about the people in our school community but also those around us in the wider community. Everyone deserves to feel warm, fed and cared for especially at this time of the year. Our aim is to support the charity in December with a range of initiatives so that local people in need are supported over the festive period and into the new year.
There are many festive ideas planned for the month that all our school community can take part in if they wish. These include
- A Reverse Advent Calendar from Monday December
2nd to Tuesday 17th December. This is where items
from the charities wish list can be brought
into school - Student Chocolate Raffle. Tickets will go on sale Monday
9th December until Friday 13th December for 20p each. Names will be drawn daily at tutor time during the last week of term. - Staff Raffle. This is being drawn on 17th December.
- Non- Uniform Day on Friday 13th December. Minimum donation of £1. Christmas jumpers are most welcome!
- Christmas Card Amnesty. Staff are making a donation to the charity rather than sending Christmas cards. Parents and guardians are also very welcome to join in with this. We are running a design a Bilton Christmas Card competition from December 2nd to Friday 13th December. The winning design will be sent as an e-card to everyone in the school community.
- Staff and 6th form festive bake off being held on Thursday 12th
We would like to take the opportunity to thank you in advance for your support in helping us make a difference to local people in need and bringing some festive fun and cheer to all our staff and students over the next month. We would also like to wish every member of our community a very happy and safe Christmas and New Year.
