Story
As many of you know, my dad, Adrian Winter, was an incredible person who touched the lives of everyone he met. His passing left a void, but his memory continues to inspire me. In honour of him, l've decided to take on an exhilarating challenge - a skydive - with all funds raised going to Magpas Air Ambulance.
MAGPAS are a local Air Ambulance charity based in Huntingdon that are dispatched directly by East of England Ambulance Service. They run a team of Doctors and specially trained critical care paramedics that are all trained in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine. They are dispatched to the most critical calls.
On the 4th December Magpas arrived shortly after my dad suffered a cardiac arrest and they acted quickly and calmly whilst also comforting those present on the day. From the point of arrival they then took charge and led the care and managed the process of extrication from the house. This organisation played a crucial role during some challenging times, giving myself, our family and friends the opportunity to say goodbye and I want to give back in their honour.
On 17th March, my dad’s birthday, I'll be taking to the skies for this cause. It's both exciting and emotional, and I'd be grateful for your support.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Your support means a lot.
