Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Over the next month we (Bill, Nikki and Emily) will run, walk and cycle  a marathon distance each. Emily will be cycling and walking, Bill and Nikki will be running and walking.

The Kings Arms is due to celebrate its 20th year this year. The charity sees approx. 200 young people per week across three main areas of work:

1. The Hub, which includes opening the Youth Centre every day for drop in sessions after school, for any young person aged 11-16, as well as two evening youth clubs.

2. Inclusion and Mentoring - working with local senior schools to provide mentors for students who need extra support. This can also include a ten week course for things like low self-esteem, anger management or anxiety.

3. Target Work, which includes two areas:

i.       Supersonics, - two groups for young people with additional needs,
who have their very own youth clubs, 11-17 & 18 -25

ii.       East Hants Young Carers - for 8 -18 year olds, approx. 80 young
people regularly participate in evening clubs, school lunch clubs, 1-1
mentoring, trips out and family support events.
