Story
Some of you may or may not know that my daughter Sophia is a young carer due to my disability of being partially blind. Not only does she do everything a 6 year old does with doing an awesome job at school and other outside activities like swimming and dancing. She also is my eyes and helps me so much when we are out and about and with things at home. Having a lot more responsibilities than others her age.
Did you know that many young carers, some as young as 5 years old, can be doing over 50 hours of care a week for their loved ones?
MYTIME Young Carers fight for the rights of young carers to ensure that these remarkable young people receive the support, opportunities and friendship that every child needs and deserves.
This Halloween all dressed up on the 31st Oct, Sophia with her friend and others will be doing a park fun run. The 5k circular route will start at Poole Park cricket ground and loop around the whole park.
Sophia and I are doing this park run and hopefully will get some sponsors to help raise money for this amazing charity. If you could sponsor us we would be very grateful.
