Story
Betty passed peacefully at home on June 9th 2023, surrounded by her beloved husband Bill and her four devoted daughters Pam, Jackie, Carol and Sam.
Much loved Nanna to Gemma, Hannah, Emma, Nicola, Amy, Laura, Jonathan, Stuart, Craig and Adam, who all miss her dearly, along with her beautiful Great Grandchildren, Kody, Ayala, Harper, Talia, Emilia and Daisy.
Betty dedicated her life to her family and ensured the home was full of love and laughter. Friday night tea was legendary, and everyone was welcome, even in hard times. She touched the lives of so many with her generosity, empathy and loyalty. If she was your friend, she was your friend for life.
Betty was never short of a quick one-liner. Her two-finger whistle was renowned and always stopped family and friends in their tracks. Above all, Betty was a fun-loving, adventurous spirit who was never afraid to try new things.
We will miss watching her patiently doing jigsaws and playing mahjong, but most of all, we will miss her constant laughing together with Dad.
We are blessed to have had her in our lives and will always carry her in our hearts. To celebrate Betty’s life, we are collecting donations for The Pink Ribbon Foundation, a charity that supports those suffering from breast cancer and is working to advance early detection and treatment.
