Story

Hi! 😃

I am running the London Marathon, April 2024 to raise money for the MSA Trust! This awful condition is affecting so many people and one of those people is unfortunately, Archie’s Nan (Mary Newton) who has very sadly lost her battle. 💔

Multiple system atrophy (MSA) is a rare condition of the nervous system that causes gradual damage to nerve cells in the brain. This affects balance, movement and the autonomic nervous system, which controls several basic functions, such as breathing, digestion and bladder control. The symptoms are wide ranging and include muscle control problems, similar to those of Parkinson’s disease.

For anyone that knows me knows that running doesn’t come easily,  I’ve had to come a long way to be able to even run 5k so running a marathon is going to be a real challenge 😳 but nowhere near as hard a challenge as it is for people suffering daily with MSA.

I can’t do this alone. Firstly, I need your help to raise a minimum of £2000 for the MSA Trust and secondly, I’ll need your support to get me through the training and the actual event. Thank you ❤️

Bethany xx
