Story

Hello everyone! I'm writing to thank you all for your support over the last weeks. Your donation will mean so much to the young people taking part in the International Citizenship Service via Challenges Worldwide. I really believe that it is a brilliant programme that empowers young entrepreneurs to share their skills worldwide and within their own communities.

Since applying to the programme as a recent graduate, a lot has changed in my life. A main aim of the ICS programme is to target youth unemployment in the UK. I am no longer unemployed - I currently have two rewarding and inspiring creative roles. I've also set up the Poetry Machine, a successful new venture that I am planning to take forward. In this respect, my involvement in the ICS has really helped me to channel my creative spark into something beneficial.

Today I decided (after a lot of reflection!) to make my space on the programme available to another candidate. I am pleased to have been selected, and grateful for the lessons that the experience has taught me so far. With this in mind, it was a difficult decision. However, I feel that the benefits of continuing along the path I've laid out for myself, (with support from my friends and family) outweigh the negatives of missing out on this particular opportunity.

From now onwards, I will continue to donate a percentage of what I raise via the Poetry Machine to charity. I'm also going to be spending a lot more time working on and developing the Poetry Machine. So if you've been waiting to give me a word, the Amazing Poetry Machine tool will open again in earnest very soon... just in time for Christmas. I've already received a big order for personalised Christmas gifts, which is really exciting!

Whilst I'm building up my skill-set and working on my various projects, I will also be researching and planning a trip later in the year. My goal - something I have been hoping to achieve for a long time - is to go on a DIY global arts trail. So if you know about any amazing arts events worldwide then please message me! And if you want to come with me, that would be great too...

I am sorry if this news has caused disappointment to anyone - but it's something that I have thought a lot about. As a result, I feel positive that it is the right course of action. And thank you again for your overwhelming support. Seeing how much you all believe in me has given me more confidence and inspiration than you could possibly know.

Feel free to message/email me if you have any questions.

Love and thanks,

Beth
