Story
On Friday 11th September my beautiful Mum lost her battle with cancer. Those who knew Gina, loved her. She was warm, caring, thoughtful, funny...Just a wonderful person! We all miss her so much and I’m so proud to call her my Mum.
She was able to spend her last days at home with care from St Leonard’s Hospice and Macmillan. I can’t put into words just how important this was to her and the family, given everything that has happened this year.
St Leonard's Hospice are an independent charity that needs donations more than ever this year. After the help and respect their nurses showed Mum, this is the charity we'd like to raise money for.
On my Mum’s birthday, I’m going to run/plod from my home in Heworth to Castle Howard and then cycle back. It’s about 24 miles. It’s no Ironman, but it’s a little challenge to get me started. Mum wouldn’t want me overexerting myself anyway! :)
As a family we want to keep challenging ourselves to raise much needed funds in Mum's memory.
Thanks so much for your support.
