This year we are fundraising for The Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association because The teams go out voluntarily in all weathers to find and rescue lost people in the Cumbria fells. These lost folk might be seasoned walkers or tourists in t-shirts, no judgement is made when lives are potentially at stake. 

They rely solely on public donations. Every team member across the 12 teams is a volunteer, and the teams are on call 24/7/365, in all weathers. They are one of the busiest regions in the UK.
