We perform land and water search and rescue to save lives in & around the River Severn

Story

Unfortunately, we lost my late grandmother due to a battle with cancer. It has shocked us all how quickly it can take over and unfortunately in this case lead to the death of nanny Joan.  She was a very active person throughout her life and made time for everyone.she was an amazing mother to my mum and auntie. She also made sure she spent as much time as possible with her three grandchildren and great grandson.

Nan was a very big supporter to the pathways that her children and grandchildren took and one of those was the volunteering work I do at SARA ( seven area rescue association). Within my time currently 9 years, nan would love to hear about the training and call outs I had done, Resulting In frequent donations. So with this in mind prior to nans passing she asked for family flowers only and if people would kindly like to donate to SARA in her memory.

SARA (seven area rescue association ) is an independent lifeboat search and rescue team that covers a wide area of the river Severn and its estuary. They are now celebrating their 50th birthday with stations running at Newport, Chepstow, Sharpness, Gloucester, Tewksbury, Upton Upon Severn, Wyre Forest and the Cotswolds. SARA is a multidisciplinary organization that provides Lifeboat, Mud, Inland Water, Land, Cliff and Swift Water Rescue. Being a charity they rely on donations from the public to keep there amazing hard work going.
