This year staff, friends and family of British Gypsum, will be completing a bike ride from Barrow Upon Soar to Skegness.

Monies will be given to Leicester Royal Neo Natal Unit, for all the care and support they offer to families. This year the hospital has touched hearts at British Gypsum. 

Below are ways in which we will help the hospital if we reach our target.

1 or 2 SiPap Machines for Neonatal ICU Room at Leicester Royal Infirmary- Sipap is synchronised intermittent positive airway pressure. It works by giving air or oxygen to the baby via either nasal prongs or a nasal mask placed over the baby’s nose. It is a form of non-invasive ventilation, so it is used on particularly small babies who are not sick enough to need ventilating.

 

 Neonatal Transport Service – Your money could go towards purchasing a special cooling incubator for babies that need transporting to Neonatal intensive care units around the country. Some neonatal babies need to be cooled to prevent brain damage and they currently cannot be cooled whilst being transported. The transport unit covers a wide area not just Leicester.
