Help me support Dog A.I.D. to 'bounce back' in 2022.By supporting my challenge, you will help more disabled people build their independence throughout the UK. Dog A.I.D. plans to 'bounce back' in 2022 into a more PAWsitive Future through raising £50,000, recruiting 50 new volunteer dog trainers and reaching every county in the UK.

Dog Aid - it’s a really important charity to me as they are supporting me in training Charlie to be my assistance dog. I’m autistic, I have arthritis, fibromyalgia, I suffer from sudden hypoglycaemic attacks.. I have severe anxiety and depression- In 2020 I was sectioned for 6 months as I was so desperately depressed . I made many serious attempts on my life and am lucky to still be here.

Charlie although not fully trained is already changing my life… he’s helping my confidence so much - I was at home for almost 18months - totally unable to leave the house unless I was with another adult… now I can go for short walks as I have Charlie alongside me. 

He’s going to be able to help me with all my mobility issues, to manage my anxiety, to attract attention if I’m having a panic attack / hypo… we’re hoping we can teach him to recognise my blood sugars going low by smell - already he is giving me the confidence to go out again and I am really living again now I have him and am  working with a lovely trainer to get him up to full Assistance Dog standard… 

Already he can fetch my hypo kit and medication and he will pick up things that I can’t reach or that I drop. He is such a clever boy and together we are learning so much. 

I make 4 sizes of Bandanna  (tiny dog / cat; small, medium, large) which are priced at £3,4,5,6 respectively. I am selling them through a local pub and cafe.  

I will deposit any funds raised here to add to the Dog Aid Pawsative future appeal.
