Story
We all like animals and recently our Mum said some Zoos were struggling to cover the cost of looking after the animals, because lockdown prevented people from visiting Zoos. So we decided to do a fund raiser in lockdown for the nearest Zoo to us Marwell.
Our Dad said if we want to ask people to make a gift to our chosen charity it had to be a REAL CHALLENGE so we each decided to do a physical activity during 7 weeks of lockdown.
Clemency (8 years old) - I am going to complete a marathon by running around the outside of the house, I need to do it 18 times a day which is 1 Kilometre. I am also going to shoot 350 Netball hoops a week. I am on target.
George (10 years old) and Edward (12 years old) – We are both doing a virtual row on our Dads rowing machine from Dover to Calais and back, which is 82 KM. To do this we both have to average 1953 meters every day for 42 days, we have 1 day a week rest, it is a REAL CHALLENGE. Currently we are nearly halfway to France.
