Mission accomplished on Oct 25th!

So, a little bit of an introduction...

We are 6 of us in this group: Anjani, Ishan & Ratan (Baddipudi family) joined by Harshita, Tanush & Rajeev (Pandey family).

Ishan & Tanush are the teenagers in this group and both their paternal grandparents have experienced heart related problems. Ishan lost his paternal grandmother last year with no indication or warning, a cardiac arrest. Tanush's paternal grandfather recovered successfully from a heart surgery.

Us going through these life changing experiences with adults brought to light the hard times that the families of children with complex heart conditions go through. We then chose to do our little bit for the little hearts. The easiest thing that crossed our minds was climbing a mountain...not Ben Nevis, not Snowdon, not Scafell Pike...a little further away...so, we settled on Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania! If everything goes well, we should be on the mountain summit on 25th of October. Whilst 5 of the 6 in this group are climbing, Harshita has been a pillar of support and strength in our efforts to train.

The pain that we may go through in this climb is probably going to be minuscule compared to the agony that the little ones and their families are going through.
