Story

The Keep Right On challenge

Staff at Birmingham City Football Club have come together to help raise funds for our local hospitals during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

We are to cover the distance between Land's End and John o' Groats (1,083miles) over a three-day period from Friday 8 May to Sunday 10 May.

We will record the cumulative miles travelled by all those taking part, who will be either running or walking in their local surroundings adhering to guidelines on exercise and social distancing.

Staff from the following departments are putting themselves forward for this challenge: Men’s and Women’s First Team, Academy, BCFC Community Trust, our Former Players Association, Media, Ticket Office, Commercial and Retail.

Boylesports the clubs Principal Partner will be pledging their support by helping to raise funds, along with senior representatives taking part in our challenge.

We have chosen to support the University Hospitals Birmingham Charity as they have five hospitals in and around the West Midlands area that provide important medical care to help the people of our community.

University Hospitals Birmingham Charity supports patients, families and NHS staff at Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope, Solihull and NHS Nightingale Birmingham.

During the current COVID-19 crisis your donations can make a difference to our NHS superheroes.

Money raised can go to delivering care packs to nurses, providing "wobble rooms" for staff to get psychological and emotional support, helping patients to stay in contact with their families by providing tablets with video conferencing apps - and much more.

Please help us support the NHS in our local community.

Thank you and Keep Right On!

About the charity

University Hospitals Birmingham Charity supports four hospitals in Birmingham - Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Good Hope, and Solihull. We support the patients, families and staff at our hospitals by providing 'added extras' that are over and above those which are provided by the NHS.
