Story
Hi!
Thank you for visiting our page. Nicki’s Smile was set up in memory of Nicki Blake who lost her battle against pancreatic cancer in November 2010, aged 33. She left behind her husband Dan and their three year old son Joshua.
Ava is in Joshua's class at school and is so excited to be walking alongside Joshua and her other clasmates to raise much needed money to research early diagnosis of this awful disease.
Thank you for your support and read on for some facts about Pancreatic Cancer in this country.

The facts about pancreatic cancer in the UK
5th – most common cause of cancer deaths 8,500 – people diagnosed with and die from pancreatic cancer every year
40 years – without improvement of survival statistics
1% – of overall cancer research funding
The survival statistics won't change without an increase in funding for research
Vision and Aim
Our Vision is to be a catalyst for improving life expectancy and survival rates for patients with pancreatic cancer. Our Aim is to make this a reality by funding research and early diagnosis initiatives into pancreatic cancer.
If Nicki’s Smile makes a difference to even one person, then Nicki's death would not have been in vain.
*Nicki’s Smile is a Fund hosted by Pancreatic Cancer UK who will ring-fence all monies raised to support our Vision and Aim.
