Art for Others is a private, charity art sale in support of World Child Cancer and in memory of my mother, Selina Cheneviere.
Art for Others will be a pop-up of preowned, valueless, art for sale where 100% of the proceeds will go towards supporting children with cancer. The pop-up will take place in London over the first and second weekends of December (3rd-5th and 10th-12th).
Hidden amongst this range of treasures will also be donated works by artists working today. These will be generally higher in price and all the proceeds will also go towards World Child Cancer.
World Child Cancer is a charity which supports children with cancer in low income countries who desperately need our help. In high income countries there is an 80% survival rate for children with cancer, in poorer countries as few as 10% do. WCC works to change this inequality by carrying out the following: improving the quality of care by ensuring doctors and nurses have the correct equipment, early diagnosis by training health workers, and supporting families financially to cover the costs of treatment, travel and care.
This fundraiser is on behalf of my mother Selina, who always said that she would do something to help children suffering from cancer if she were to survive it herself. Art for Others is a project in her memory and on her behalf.
For anyone who is not able to contribute an artwork but is kind enough to want to donate, please donate here. I am enormously grateful for your generosity.
