Story
In November 2020 Aaron, our friend and brother, was taken too early from us at the age of 27. Sadly, he passed away from a rare form of cancer called a neuroendocrine cancer.
There is nothing that will ever be able to make sense of this tragedy but a group of us got together and decided to try and make something positive come from this horrible event. We all resolved to try to improve our physical health and undertake a challenge together to show this.
Aaron enjoyed both running and cycling so we decided to cycle around 3/4 of Arran (43 miles) followed by a half marathon run in one day. A total of 57 miles and 2730 ft of elevation. A group of us will be doing the full challenge supported by friends who are doing different levels/parts - a huge challenge to a group of boys not quite used to that level of exercise.
We have been training hard in preparation for this and would like to remember our friend through raising money for a charity which will be able to help many more people in an unbelievably tough situation.
All donations gratefully received.
