Hello Everyone!

Thank you for visiting my Just Giving ‘Water Is Life’ page, for WaterAid, a charity which has always been close to my heart.

I recently entered Miss India UK Worldwide (MIUK) 2013, and after winning my London regional round, went on to win 2nd place at the national rounds, securing the title of Miss India UK Worldwide 2012- First princess.

To raise money for WaterAid, me and my MIUK team and helpers will walk Oxford Street, London to Support WaterAids. National Toilet Day on 19th November 2012. This day focuses on 1 in 3 women around the world who have nowehere safe to go to the toilet and are consequently exposed to an increased risk of shame, violence and harrassment.

There is not a day that goes by that I am not thankful for being alive, healthy and my loved ones being safe.  However, this simple human right to safe water facilities is still not accessible to everyone in the world, and WaterAid, an international London based charity,  is dedicated to helping people escape the poverty and disease which is caused by living without safe water and sanitation.

It’s a charity which works alongside local organisations, in 27 countries in Africa, Asia, the Pacific region and Central America, helping poor communities establish sustainable water supplies and latrines, close to their homes.
