Anthony's Prostate Cancer UK page

Movember · 31 October 2012
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am omitting to shave my upper lip as part of the Movember campaign to raise funds for two charities.
The first is Prostate Cancer UK. This pernicious disease will affect most men at some stage in their lives. As a target for fundraising, prostate cancer is very much the poor cousin to other more successful appeals. It’s time for more resources to be put into the fight. Eventually, it will be cracked.
The second is Dorothy House. This hospice cared for my mother brilliantly whilst she patiently waited to die of cancer. Although the end was inevitable, they made the process as pain free and comfortable as possible both for her but, more importantly, for my father and the rest of our family.
Don’t feel you have to give generously, or even at all. But if you do have a spare fiver, bung it in the hat. At certain fund raising mile stones, - every £50, I will be wearing a Village People YMCA yellow hard hat for the day, including the train trip in to London.
