Story
On the 20th November 2023 i will be taking part in the CEO Sleepout at Lords Cricket Ground to raise money for the fantastic charity i work for, Depaul UK.
About
Depaul UK
Depaul UK
is a youth homeless charity, dealing with homeless & vulnerable young
people aged 16-25.
Youth
homelessness in the UK affects tens of thousands of people each year. Depaul UK
is one of the UK’s largest youth homelessness charities, and we support those
who have been homeless or are at risk of homelessness.
Every
person we help has a unique situation and a unique set of needs, so we focus on
the individual and offer tailored support.
In the
first instance we try to prevent a young person becoming homeless by providing
family support & mediation services & running workshops in schools
We have
an emergency service called Nightstop, running in around 35 sites around the
country, to help keep young people off the streets.
We offer accommodation to
homeless young people, including specialist projects such as Mother & Baby
units & those with mental health issues.
Each young person coming in
to our services will get their own Progression Coach to work alongside to
empower them to continue or return to education, help them in to training &
employment through our Steps to Success programe & eventually to live
independently.
For over 30 years, Depaul UK has been housing and
supporting some of the country’s most marginalised young people, helping them
to progress from chaos and homelessness to stability and independence.
From the moment a young person arrives at Depaul to
the moment they move onto their own accommodation, we do everything we can to
help them move on to live a fulfilling, independent life off the streets and
away from the dangers of homelessness.
Thanks for your support
