Over 600 critically endangered orangutans - a number which continues to increase as more are rescued and released Thousands of threatened species including gibbons, pangolins, clouded leopards, sun bears and proboscis monkeys. 36.5 million tonnes of stored carbon. The future of Bornean orangutans will very much depend on the long-term security of large, strictly-protected forests - The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species 2016.
