Story

On Friday 29th September 2006 our beautiful and much loved daughter Maebh was still born. Thousands of people have lost their children in all sorts of circumstances, but we all have one thing in common. We all know that no-one else knows what it is like unless they too have lost a child.

The Child Death Helpline is based at Alder Hey and Great Ormond Street Hospitals. It offers a unique service to bereaved families. It is staffed by volunteers who are all bereaved. My husband Pete is one of those amazing people. Working on the helpline is incredibly difficult, but the volunteers do it because they know that they help people who have no-one who understands but them.

It struggles for funding, but only needs a relatively small amount of money to keep going. Your small donations will make an enormous difference. Although your donation is being made under the banner of alder Hey Children's Charity, every penny will be given directly to the helpline.
