As you may know I work for the St Vincent de Paul Society as Manager of a project called St Judes Furniture Store. We help under privelledged families & individuals in the Leeds area. It can be as simple as giving someone a bed to sleep on , food or just a friendly place to come and escape loneleyness and isolation and feel part of a family. It certainly makes you think how lucky you and your families really are! Its heartbreaking at times but so rewarding!

So this year for our annual Sponsored walk my 8 year old daughter Lauren, My now Husband Pete , myself & hopefully my teenage son Alexander!  are all walking the 5 miles to raise money for my project & our sister Project the St Vincents Support Centre also in leeds.St Vincent Support centre offers all kinds of facilities for underpriveledged families & individuals such as debt councelling, basic Adult literacy & numeracy lessons as well as a shop & community Cafe. As you can imagine all these things cost money to sustain. Last year we raised in excess of £17,000. This year we would really like to beat that ! So whatever you want to donate every penny really is important. So its up to you to decide !
