Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Firstly, thank you to all who have donated through Charity Giving - £225 has been donated so far and 'ring-fenced' http://www.charitygiving.co.uk/annesouthworth96884
I am on target to do my hair chop on Sunday 1st September at my Mam's 89th birthday party. My younger sister will measure at least 12 inches and Mam will do the chop! Can you find the last £125 to pay for my hair to be made into the first FREE wig for a child with cancer?
Sadie and I always hoped we could raise £700 in total to pay for both hair donations to be made into wigs for children, so will you start to raise the extra £350 now for the 2nd wig?
We have until December to reach our full target. Sadie is doing her hair chop just before Christmas - and in the meantime is suffering in this heatwave with hair that she wants to have chopped but knows that she has to be the 'custodian of hair' for the 2nd wig for a child.
Many of us have lost loved ones to cancer, some of us have been exceptionally blessed when our loved ones have beaten cancer. I fall into both categories. But how difficult is it for a child to deal with cancer AND lose their hair as part of their therapy process?
Let's give a child a natural-hair wig to swish and feel with their fingers. We can give them joy again when they look in the mirror.
Thank you for any small donation you can make to the Anne and Sadie Hair Chop Challenge.
Regards, Anne and Sadie (on behalf of the The Multi-Charity Support Forum)
