Myself and Nick are running the Amsterdam Half Marathon on October 19th along with the Vodafone European CEO’s (that was my recommendation). Over 120 people from Vodafone all over the world are taking part and it’s set to be a great event!
Representing Ireland, Nick and I would like to raise €1,500 for a very worthy cause. We would really appreciate if you could make a little donation to help us reach our target. Read about our chosen charity below:
We’re raising funds for the Vodafone Foundation Moyo Lesotho Challenge. Moyo Lesotho is about getting a generation of young people living with HIV onto treatment. We know that of 41,000 children and young people under 16 living with HIV in Lesotho, as many as 36,000 are not on ARVs. By raising money and using mobile technology, we can get more children tested and on treatment faster.
The funds raised will be used to provide transport, so children can travel to receive treatment, testing and the treatment. Working together with the Ministry of Health and other partners, we want to have put a generation of young people on ARVs by 2020.
