Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Way back in 1983, when I was 18, I attempted to run the Belfast Marathon. Despite following a sound training programme, I struggled from 20 miles and stopped at 23 miles. I have never quite forgiven myself.
On 6 May 2013, the 30th anniversary of that marathon, I will attempt to at run the full distance in what is now known as the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon. This time I am determined to finish, even if I have to crawl the last few miles. Please feel free to remind me of this!
I have been keeping an intermittent blog on my progress and promise to update it again soon! #mce_temp_url#
I am taking the opportunity of this self-inflicted torture to raise funds for the Family Support service of the Kent Autistic Trust, a wonderful charity which has helped us, as a family, negotiate the twists and turns in life that accompany the joy of having a child on the Autistic Spectrum.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So please dig deep and donate now.
