Anna's Harrogate Ringway Walk for Birk Crag Centre Re-Development
Fundraising for Girlguiding North Yorkshire West
Story
The existing Birk Crag Centre, Girlguiding North Yorkshire West's Headquarters and Holiday House in Harrogate has reached the end of its useful life and we are raising funds to construct a brand new purpose built centre for our guiding activities. This will be a great legacy for future generations of Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section.
The old Birk Crag Centre was a home away from home for many including myself during my time as a Brownie and Guide. With your help we hope to build a new purpose built centre for many generations to come - so they too can have a fantastic experience, learning independence, life skills and for some spending their very first night away from home.
I will be walking the Harrogate Ringway (21 miles), this weekend, a short break from studying for my Masters in Chiropractic, to raise funds and then finishing at Birk Crag Centre to be greeted by my own Rainbows (5-7 year olds) for a Cream Tea Fundraiser and Celebration.
