Young Person's Readathon for Bristol Refugee Rights

Anna Lane-Clarke is raising money for Bristol Refugee Rights

Readathon for Bristol Refugee Rights · 14 July 2021

We aim to make sure no one seeking asylum in our area goes without housing, allowance, community and support. We provide basic needs from housing application to hardship payments. We also build long term solutions to empower children, young people and adults to live in safety and fulfillment.

One of our young people at Capstone Foster Care is fundraising as part of her Duke of Edinburgh Award.  She wants to help Bristol Refugee Rights by fundraising so that they can help refugee's find a safe environment where they can stay and be accepted.

The readathon will consist of her reading 2 books a week over the summer, one fiction and one non fiction. She has chosen to read about topics that inspire her so that she can educate others.  These topics will include: Feminism, LGBTQ and Refugees. She hopes to publish reviews to try to encourage others to read.
