Anna's Edinburgh Marathon for Silver Linings

Edinburgh Marathon 2023 · 28 May 2023 ·
Hey, thanks for taking the time to check out my just-giving page!
Here's some information as to why I'm crazy enough to be running 26.2 miles in May...
Last October, I started a weekly placement at Silver Linings brain injury charity as a part of my undergraduate degree. I spent a lot of time in the Art studios where members of the Silver linings community came together on a weekly basis to do art, socialise and have a laugh over some coffee and biscuits. I was immediately warmly welcomed by everyone in the charity and felt like a member of the community within minutes.
I experienced the copious amounts of hard work, passion and devotion that drives the charity, and I left with the desire to express my gratitude for their dedication to helping individuals and families affected by brain injuries. So, this is what has led me to train for the Edinburgh marathon this year!
I am so, so grateful for any support and donations to the Silver linings charity. Finally, I'm excited to watch Silver linings continue to flourish into the future and continue helping many people.
