Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I entered the ballot for the London Marathon a year ago thinking that the chances of getting in were pretty low, so I was very excited to find that I got a place! A few weeks into my training, I'm fluctuating between deciding if this is the first of many marathons or the first and last!

I chose to run for the Alzheimer's Society after my Grandpa suffered with the disease. He was a very sporty man and, while long distance running wasn't his forte, I'm sure if he saw the masses of people that take part in the marathon today he'd have liked to have given it a go! So this is for him.

I will also be taking part in the Marlow half marathon, Great North Run and Royal Parks this year. Thanks in advance for your contributution. However large or small, it all helps and is much appreciated! It will especially help me stay focused during the cold winter nights when training is the last thing I fancy doing!
