Story
To celebrate World Down's Syndrome Day on 21st March 2021, DSO is challenging every one of its members to try and raise at least £21! Because together, a little effort can achieve a great deal. It may not seem much but in a year when fundraising is down by 88% due to circumstances beyond all their control, a little means a lot.
I meant to start this challenge at the beginning of March, giving Henry 21 days to complete it, but time has disappeared and we only have a week to go :-(
Henry has been really tired this first week back to school so I’m hoping he’ll be up for the challenge. I figured that as most of you probably know, Henry LOVES throwing... balls mainly , but he’s generally not fussy. The thing is he’s actually undeniably good at throwing... but often in places we don’t want the said item to go.
So, to direct his throwing skills we have a basket ball net at the ready and the challenge is .To throw the ball into the net 21 times between now and 21st March.
Down's Syndrome Oxford ( as like many charities) have really been affected by lockdown and not being able to hold events to raise money for all the amazing work they do to provide support for our children and for us.
If you feel you’d like to donate any amount at all. It would be so so much appreciated.
Thank you so much.
Love from
Anna and Graham Crow, Henry and George
