Story
Hi guys, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am a strong believer of Human rights and find it extraordinary that in this day of age (around the world) there are countries that do not embrace them. We are all human beings with freewill to do what we want to do but unfortunately, not everyone will think the same.
Recently, we have witnessed the treatment of many Syrian refugees, many who have died, many still suffering, many looking for a new life in a safe environment. We all have a right to life; a life to have an identity; a right to make choices and be able to be treated the same. We've also seen what is happening in Israel and Palestine, many wrongly imprisoned, many restricted from leaving the country, many homes demolished and many people's human rights being abused. This can be prevented. We can all make changes through education and communication, and that is what Amnesty International stands for. This charity supports those who are vulnerable-vulnerable in the sense that they cannot exercise the same rights we enjoy in this country and need further support to ensure that their rights are protected.
Therefore, I am going to show my support to Amnesty International for the work they do by running 10km in Victoria Park on Sunday 6th December 2015...and I will be wearing a Santa costume. So I would be grateful if you can sponsor me whether it's small or big, every penny counts!
