The Lifeboat Fund is an official charity of the Civil Service and also receives donations from Royal Mail and BT staff. The Fund supports the work of the RNLI by raising money to buy new lifeboats, equipment and training for crew. There are 12 Lifeboat Fund lifeboats in the RNLI fleet.

Story

The current Appeal gets behind the Royal National Lifeboat Institution's campaign, "Defeat Drowning Together".

Its water safety goals are focused on children and young people.
Different approaches to campaign-delivery are needed due to the pandemic, but the imperative for these efforts remains as high as ever.

Scotland's Swim Safe site is Aberdour, where the Appeal will fund water safety & free swimming lessons for children aged 7 to 14 years; this is an RNLI priority.

In Scotland, the Appeal will also support RNLI lifeguarding at Aberdour Silver Sands, Burntisland and St Andrews beaches.  In addition, we hope to help the RNLI's work in Bangladesh, protecting young children from the ever-present risk of drowning.

Please help us to keep them safe!
