**UPDATE**  **MARATHON COMPLETE!!!!**

At about 1.30 on Sunday afternoon I crossed the finishing line of the London marathon in a new PB of 3hrs 39 mins. It was tough but a great day and an amazing atmosphere.

I have once again put myself down for a 26.2 mile "jog" around the streets of London one Sunday morning in April.

Having done this before, I would like to say that I can take some comfort in knowing what is coming...I can't, these things really, really hurt, as the attached picture testifies. Despite how I may appear, this was actually only at mile 3 in 2008, after things got much, much worse.

I am running this year's London marathon for the mobile disability charity, Whizz-Kidz, which I have been closely involved with fundraising for over the last 3 years at work, as part of our corporate citizenship initiative. Whizz-kidz aims to improve the quality of life of disabled children and young people in the UK through the provision of customised mobility equipment. The charity is dedicated to providing help and advice to the children and their families and raising awareness of mobility-related issues through national campaigning.
