Story
Everyone who knows me knows how much I believe in the power of gaming. It is a fantastic way to connect with others, meet new friends and just have some fun.
At the moment gaming is more important than ever, as it has been a great distraction from the struggles that so many people are experiencing during the pandemic.
I am supporting Everyone Can because of the support they offer to disabled people:
- They do assessments for disabled people, so that they can use digital technology to improve their independence. This means that people are able to game for the first time due to their support.
- Everyone Can has a gaming centre in Manchester where they run gaming sessions for disabled people. This includes people with physical disabilities who benefit from their wide range of adaptive equipment, but also people who are neurodivergent, which includes autistic people. They run sessions for young people and for adults!
- And they offer so much more!
Therefore, I will be taking part in a 24 hour Gaming Marathon (10am Saturday 26th September - 10pm Saturday 27th September).
But that's not all, depending on how much money we raise there will be some extras:
£250: I will attend the Everyone Can Centre in person for the gaming marathon and send live updates throughout the day
£500 Paul from Everyone Can will dye his hair neon green live on stream for your viewing pleasure AND I will wear a minion onesie for the gaming marathon!
Any donations you can give will be massively appreciated. This is a cause that really means a lot to me!
