On the 25th of April 2010 Andy Gater and Vlad Lukjanciks are running the London Marathon in support of The Outward Bound Trust.

The Outward Bound Trust offers structured residential development courses with the purpose of raising self-esteem and confidence, developing skills and preparing young people from every background for the challenges that life brings. Often children are from deprived inner city areas where there is not a great deal of opportunity to do something different.

Vlad has had first hand experience of the troubles in the Soviet Union growing up in the 90's when it was very easy to fall in with the wrong crowd. Vlad believes that it is very important to give young children a chance to try something new and have the correct role models, which is what the Outward Bound Trust provides.

Andy has had experience of the work carried out by the Outward Bound Trust when he took part in a weekend activity with a school from Hull. They were given a chance to climb a mountain, camp out for the night and go rock climbing. Andy saw what the children got out of the weekend, they were buzzing and he passionately believes in the cause.
