My friend and colleague; Simon lost his mom to this disease in October last year. He decided to do something positive in her memory and to help others. He hadn't ridden a bike seriously since he was 14 so London to Paris in four days seemed a pretty good challenge to set himself. I said I'd join him, I wanted to help. Once I looked into the stats I realised how important that help is. This is for Margaret, for my mom, my sister, my friends and colleagues, for my beautiful daughter Annie and especially for Simon and all those who have been or will be affected.
