Andrew lived with this rare liver condition, PSC (Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis), for many years although he only suffered from it badly in the last few months. The only cure for him would have been a liver transplant but unfortunately his condition deteriorated quickly and a liver didn't become available to him in time.

You are probably aware that there are significantly more people waiting for an organ transplant than there are suitable donors, so we would also ask that, if you haven't already done so, you would consider signing the NHS organ donor register and share your wishes with your friends and family.
