Story
Martin and I have entered the following obstacle cross country events - tough mudder, Rat race full mucker and rough runner all on consecutive weekends at the end of April and early May 2016. These events are in order 13, 20 and 10 mile long races which will test us both physically. Due to the physical nature of these events we both will be training hard through these cold dark wet winter months.
We both agreed that if we are going to put our bodies through pain by climbing over obstacles, swim through ice cold ponds and even get electrocuted we should raise money for a worth while cause.
The cause we have chosen is one close to my heart. Back in the summer of 2004 my wife went into labour 12 weeks early. Soon after we had twin girls born weighting 2lb 2oz and 2lb 8oz. We had an interesting time jumping between special care baby units of Coventry and Northampton hospitals. Eventually we all arrived back at the Horton Hospital at Banbury prior to been discharged. Now Mollie and Abbi are lively 11 year old's who have survived the first 4 months of comprehensive school.
So we are going to raise money for the Special Care Baby Unit at Horton Hospital at Banbury, any money raised will go towards the parents room to make future parents time within the unit as comfortable whilst their off springs become bigger and stronger prior to discharge.
