Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Those of you that know me well are aware that my wife Stephanie has been living with Type 1 diabetes since she was 17 ( a very long time indeed ) as well as my brother Paul. Over the years, Stephanie and I have hoped for a miracle breakthrough that will help this terrible disease just go away but realistically it is going to take many years of research and that is why it is so important that I take this opportunity to raise as much money as I can for Diabetes UK.
A couple of years ago, I had a small heath scare myself, during this time I thought I was going to be told that I had Type 2 diabetes. Fortunately, I escaped this but it forced me to dramatically change my lifestyle. Exercise is no longer my enemy and so when I heard about this challenge, I was keen to get involved to continue my new healthy regime.

The 1 Million Step Challenge takes place between 1st July and 30th September 2017, however, I will continue to update this page with my training progress until the official start date and then my step progress throughout the challenge.
I am already planning new walking routes that will push my stamina to the max and I am looking forward to becoming at least a millionaire by the end of September!
