This year for Swimathon 2020 I will be attempting to swim 5km each day for three consecutive days for Cancer Research and Marie Curie Cancer care.
This is my biggest challenge to date and not helped by the limitations on swimming suite to Covid-19 restrictions which have meant that I have been unable to swim further than about 2km in single session this year. It is my plan to swim 5km on 24th, 25th and 26th August. Fingers crossed.
Your donations (no matter how small) are welcome if you think and the cause is worthy.

Swimathon 2020 is back! Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Swimathon 2020 was originally postponed to October 2020. Given that there will be new social distancing procedures in place within swimming venues, the postponed Swimathon event will be coming to you as a brand-new virtual event! Thousands of swimmers will be heading down to their local pool between July and October to complete their challenge, and raise money for our two amazing charity partners.
Cancer Research UK, the worlds leading cancer charity is dedicated to saving lives through funding research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Cancer Research UK are the only charity fighting over 200 cancer types but don't receive any government funding for their work, so their progress is all thanks to the support of people like you.
Marie Curie provides expert care, guidance and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Around 2,100 Marie Curie Nurses work day and night, in peoples homes all over the UK, providing hands-on care to people when they need it most.
Together we can really make a difference. We invite our swimmers to tell their story to help spread awareness and raise vital funds for these two incredible causes
