Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For a while now I have been talking about taking on a different challenge after taking part in many running events...I have been dying my hair for years...I am more grey than brown and want to stop dying my hair. So I have decided to cut my hair off and donate it to the Little Princess Trust. With the lockdown, hair has to be kept in a certain way so as mine is 15 inches long (they have a lack of 17 inch hair) I’m going to continue growing it until I can send it.
When its been cut off, as close as I can to keep as much of the length, I’m then going to shave the remaining hair raising much needed funds for Bolton Hospice.
In the current climate charities have usually had many different events, currently have no extra funds coming in and need our help. My family and friends would have taken part in many events this year for the hospice and other charities so I’m going to do what I can. I know many people don’t have spare money at the moment either but this will be a long event due to lockdown and may be nearer the end of the year.
Bolton Hospice was there for our family when we needed it the most and played a huge part in supporting us before, during and after our beloved dad’s death. Although my husband didnt ever need a wig, we spent many months in The Christie and saw first hand the difference these wigs make to the morale of some patients.
So keep a watch out for the date of the ‘chop’ and if you can sponsor, donate or just cheer me on - I would really appreciate it.
