Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have decided to run a marathon in memory of my uncle John. He got admitted to hospital with COVID just before Christmas, sadly he never returned home.
He was a loving and caring husband, dad, grandad, brother and uncle and also friend to many. He was truly amazing and inspirational! Everyone loved him and we are all shocked and devastated. He is missed greatly everyday.
He was part of PFJ Ministries; a project that he was part of and passionate about was the building of a maternity clinic in Uganda. The building work continues although covid has delayed progress. Funds are still needed to complete the building work and get equipment in there. The clinic will be named after John in honour and memory of his life.
I have never run this distance and never aspired to, hence I hope that this will be a good way to help raise funds towards something that will be in memory of John. Family and friends will be running / cycling the full distance on the day and hopefully others will join along the way to run, cycle or cheer us on. If others want to join us if we are allowed that would be amazing!
The planned date is Sunday 30th May running on the Wirral.
Training starts this week. I will keep you all updated with how that goes.
So if you have a few spare quid and want to donate and help keep us all on track with training it would be much appreciated 😃🏃🏻♀️🏃🏃🏻♀️🏃🚴🏼♂️
