Hi All
I am hoping to compete in the #prudentialridelondon in memory of my mother in law who passed away in January.
Mum was an incredible lady who suffered from cancer in 2015 and kicked its ass! Unfortunately in 2018 mum was diagnosed with brain cancer which was followed by a rollacoaster year for her and the family more broadly. Mum succumbed to the disease in January 2019 leaving behind a heart broken family. She was, and continues to be the bond that holds us together and over time we will learn to move forward, although things will never be the same.
Whilst participating in this event has always been an ambition of mine, doing it in the memory of mum is all the more fitting and raising money to try and eradicate this horrific disease just has to be done..
Mum was an amazing role model, trulely selfless in everything she did, with a heart that was second to none. Whilst I and the family comes to terms with this loss and my children try and understand it, this is something small, minuscule in fact, that I want to do in mum’s memory..
