Hi there my name is Amanda and I have created the 108 Yoga Event to raise funds for an amazing charity that works tirelessly to support people struggling with their mental health. So many people need this help right now. Covid has brought many challenges to us as individuals, families and communities. The Shiva Trust Charity provides support, classes, education and food parcels to all who are in need and suffer with their mental health.
Personally, The Shiva Trust has supported me through some difficult times, the death of my mum and more recently my dad. They provided support for me in the way I needed it most. They do this for all their beneficiaries, identifying the need, whether that be food parcels, providing life skills, education and tools about how to cope with the mind or personal coaching to work through challenges or mental blocks. Their methods are not a one size fits all and that's why they get great results. The more we raise for this fabulous charity, the more people they can reach and help. So 'Think Big And Give'.
A group of us will be completing the challenge of doing 108 sun salutations on Friday 7th August.
You may like to join us remotely on the same day and donate to support the charity. If 108 is too many, maybe try just one sun salutation or even 8. Maybe you could tempt your yoga friends to complete the challenge and donate to The Shiva Trust too.
