Story
We all know how tough winters in Michigan can be, especially with a little person to keep entertained while trying to stay safely connected to family and friends.
My friends and colleagues at the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy are working hard to bring back the cheer to the riverfront with their second season of winter programming at Robert C. Valade Park, and our family is thrilled to have a change of scenery to check out!
This winter the park will feature oversized outdoor fireplaces, warm cozy seasonal drinks, marshmallow roasters and free sleds to borrow at the Sled Shed. We are so excited to be able to bundle up and meet up safely to enjoy a hot chocolate and some s'mores while Lulu plays on the only sledding hill in Detroit! It's pretty much going to be like the most amazing backyard in the entire Metro area! But it all takes resources, planning and staffing to create winter experiences like this, so the DRFC needs our help to raise funds in support of Winter at Valade.
So please give what you can, with your help, we will ensure Detroiters have a great winter and are supported during all seasons and challenges.
See you soon for some S'mores together at Valade!
